I spend at least an hour every day, more in hot weather, watering my
containers. I have tried probably a dozen different nozzles. What I use is a
common big box wand, 12 or 18 inches, with a trigger release and a
multi-pattern head, six or eight different patterns of which I use three --
shower, jet, and mist. They cost about ten bucks and last about one season
The problem is that they start leaking and can't be repaired. I have a heavy
piece of expensive brass with a male hose thread on the end to take a Dramm
head, and I have various heads to equal the patterns on my cheepo nozzle,
but it is a pain to keep changing them. If I could find a good multi-pattern
head on a repairable brass frame, I'd jump at it.
