I agree with Duane. Years ago, I had a Melnor multi-pattern spray head that
lasted about ten years. By the time I went to replace it, everything had
turned to plastic. I thought it was just me; I've had to buy new spray heads
every year. They either leak, or the pattern mechanism fails. I have found
Dramm to be only incrementally better -- my wand type started leaking in the
second year.
I use a combination of heavy-duty quick-connect couplings and shut-off
valves to minimize the aggravation of changing spray heads. The
Undergardener bought me a set of fine, heavy-duty brass heads for my
birthday one year, but I keep them "only for good :-) ."
