Sansevieria/hemp plant

I was researching an article on herbs and in my BH&G New Garden Book,
there's a mention of Sansevieria, also called the hemp plant.  Now, I
thought the hemp plant was...you know, "happy stuff".  Is there more than
one type of hemp plant?  The only kind I ever heard of was the kind Cheech &
Chong might cultivate.
