Re: Sansevieria/hemp plant
From everything I've heard, the hemp that is grown for fiber bears little
resemblance to the "kind Cheech and Chong might cultivate" Although the same
species and similar in appearance to the untrained eye, the varieties grown as
hemp have neglibible amounts of THC which is the "happy" part. I have used a
lot af hemp products from clothes to canvas to twine and find it exceptionally
durable, not to mention renewable and compostable. The illegality has more to
do with protecting the petroleum-based fiber, and chemical-intensive cotton
industries that protecting anyone from any drug threat.
