Re: master gardeners and Scotts?

In at least three counties in Oregon (Washington, Clackamas & Multnomah), Master Gardeners are in?some local?retail centers because the Extension agent made arrangements directly?with?the retail outlets.? 

Arrangements are also made directly with local Farmer's Markets.

The MGs are sponsored the Oregon State University Extension Service.

I was at a meeting yesterday and chatting with the Ext agent when she came  
up with a big concern.  A Scotts company person in the next county has come  up 
with an idea that the county, and other counties in GA, rather like.   Scotts 
can get us into major retail places such as Walmart and Home Depot  etc.  to 
do talks, educate the public. ...
