I don't have an Internet presence, but some papers do give my email address. 
For many years I have gotten nothing but kind comments and an occasional 
polite disagreement. But a couple of weeks ago I got an irate email from a 
reader who objected to my comment that concrete reinforcing wire made the 
best tomato cages. He held for something from Gardeners Supply, which I had 
tried but still maintained my position. I tried engaging and mollifying him, 
but he replied with even more vitriol. Strange.

I blame it on Bush. Or is it too late for that.
