Re: Email lists and marketers


Double-opt in is one of the primary initial tools to be sure - and I just
signed up for a major garden-personality's list the other day and it was
single opt-in.  I thought "oh-oh" I wonder if they know what's going on with
their list.  ;-)

As for the negative folks in this world, I simply delete their names from
the list (and then ban them so they can't sign up under that same email
address again)  I don't know if the banning does any good but it makes me
feel a whole bunch better. ;-)   LIfe is far too short to be worried about
trolls.

As in many things on the Net - cheaper is not always better when it comes to
mailing software and services.
