Re: gardenwriters Digest, Pearl's Premium grass seed

I took a look at the landscapers site which gives the composition. The shade mix is several different fine fescues. The only issue with them is that they aren't wear tolerant if the lawn gets much use. The sun mixture is a toss up of 5 kinds of grass that I wouldn't have expected to be compatible in appearance or growth habit. It would be interesting to see which actually survived on the sites, the ryegrass, the tall fescue, the bluegrass or the 2 fine fescues.
Both of the mixes are blended for cool or transitional areas, not warm places.
Nothing revolutionary anyway.
