Re: Bad mother

A bird made a nest in the wreath on my front door a couple of years ago. It was so
big, one day it tipped forward and the little babies fell out on the porch. My
husband repaired the nest and wearing gloves he carefully placed the babies back in
the nest. They went on to prosper...we had a great view at feeding times and after
they flew away scrubbed the streaky white poop off the window and door. I would do it
again in a minute.

We get a robin and babies in a nest built years ago on the top of a wreath under the
eaves almost every year. Other birds love the cone shaped vessels I have on my garage
posts with dried or faux flowers. They make nests behind the flowers for safety.

Needless to say we are ALWAYS tiptoeing carefully around the house so as not to
disturb the babies!

LOVE watching the birds gather supplies for their nest...actual building of the
nest...new eggs...feeding the babies...love it all!
