Re: plant selection question
Now Duane , if you've ever been to a gym you must know that the receptionist is a cute twentysomething in spandex. And it's probably air conditioned, so Dan is a smarter gardener than the rest of us pretending it's May in this August heat.
About those plants, I'd also suggest a foliage or shade garden. Trees to bulbs. If the ideal is a perennial border, then plant one away from the living area to be viewed from the house and hire someone to care for it. Most honeybees won't sting unless threatened , like sitting on one. Learning about bees will take away some fear.
