If as Jeff Ball says, there is one garden for every 10 houses, then perhaps
we can assume that the folks who buy properties that restrict what you can
grow have no interest in gardening and the 'nice' restricted landscaping and
the non-emphasis on yard work suits them just fine. Afterall, non-gardeners
are the majority, tho I wish it weren't so.
Buying a house often leads to gardening, as it did for me, and the sad
reality of such restrictions is that they're are bound to put a damper on
