Do the style books you mentioned have all the necessary information to deal
with writing about plants?

I agree that there doesn't need to be a whole style book, but a uniform
style sheet, just addressing things botanical, might come in handy. No two
references handle nomenclature the same way, which can be frustrating.

I fight constantly my with editor (newspaper) who wants to put cultivar
names in double quotes, not single. This week she kept italicizing all over
the place. Not that a GWAA style book would help in my particular
battle---Gannett uses Gannett's style rules, and they are iron-clad.

Wow! Didn't know I had that little vent in me. Pardon.
