Re: gardening with children

Felder Rushing's book has some excellent ultra low budget projects -- Many use recycled or found items, there are projects for indoors and outdoors, some for all seasons, the results should be great because the directions allow for the kids to do their own thing with it.

Better Homes and Gardens Junior Gardening Book: Cool Projects for Kids to Make and Grow by Felder Rushing. Meredith Books; ISBN: 0696208490; Spiral edition (March 1999) $15.95

The National Gardening Association has a web site all about gardening with kids. Maybe you can get some good ideas there or at least do some networking.

Does anyone have any stupendous suggestions for short (one hour or less) projects to do with children, at-risk or otherwise? Or, can you recommend great books, websites or ???
