Re: Aconitum (color sells)

Why aren't color photos inserted in pots of non-blooming plants? That plus
the word of the person working in the perennials dept. (I don't shop in big
box stores) would sell me on a plant. And now I'm going to have to find
Aconitum after this discussion...
We all keep banging our heads against that same wall: Too many people will

only buy plants that are flowering. Never mind that it's not even in their
best

interest to do so; to buy most perennials in full bloom means that you've

bought them at their peak, and you then get to preside over their decline.

Market wisdom tends to argue that homeowners won't buy on faith, won't buy

potential. But they will. It requires education. If you disagree, answer me

this: How pretty is a tulip bulb?
