Re: Sweet Potato Vines


The size of the ornamental tubers is not at all insignificant! Here in NYC I use then oftem in container combinations for clients. By the end of the season the tuber has often grown so large that it's come up through the top of the potting mix. It's not unusual for them to be 4-5 inches in diameter. Since I've always been told they were edible but not tasty, I've never tried to cook them. I'd love to find out I'm wrong.
