Re: The Scare Crow for deer

These didn't work at all for me. Admittedly, I live with a very large
deer population. No, not in Manhattan, in Shohola, PA where they
close school on the first day of deer hunting season because it's such
a big deal.

I've tried several motion sensor operated deer deterrents: the scare
crow, the ultra-sonic screamer...no luck with either. Deer aren't
stupid, especially when they're hungry and their lives depend on your
garden plants. They quickly learn that a squirt of water (or a high
pitched noise) isn't going to hurt them and they continue to feed.
Maybe our Pennsylvania deer are especially smart...and hungry.
