One
good idea for any tour is to take the group to a local nursery or two. Every
area has at least on nursery which is "famous" and often they will help you by
providing lunch etc. If you go to Philly in the spring, these nurseries
will be in full swing while outdoor gardens are still barren.
And, I
agree, winter is the longest gardening season......certainly where I
live.
