Re: [GWL]: Recommending plant sources
I think Lon's point is an important issue. Short term customer
satisfaction usually is limited to the processing and delivery of the
order while customer relations usually has to do with the opinion after
the plant has been grown at least one season and flowered/fruited so it
can be evaluated as to being disease/insect free and true to its
advertised description.
Many customers lack the experience to evaluate plant, seed, and bulb
quality when the shipment arrives. How a company handles consumer
complaints after 6-9 months may provide an important insight into the
business practices of the grower.
Having a group of qualified horticulturists performing the evaluation
would seem to be an important consideration in achieving a uniform,
objective analysis.
