How can we reduce the average 1200 miles of distance that exists between those who grow food and those who eat it?  America Fresh may have one answer.  

This Saturday morning at 9am Pacific on AM 1080 KSCO and AM 1340 KOMY, the Saturday Food Chain with Michael Olson hosts America Fresh Founder and President Brian Gardiner and restaurant Owner and Chef Marc Westburg for a conversation about bringing those who grow food together with those who eat food.   

Topics will include the strategic vulnerabilities associated with a 1200-mile long food chain; the difficulties of bringing local farmers together with local restaurants and grocers; and how new technologies like the internet, when combined with older technologies like trucks and warehouses, may be able to overcome the difficulties.
