Re: [GWL]: AHS Heat Zone Map
Yes, the Heat Zone map is essential to us here in the Southeast. As Doreen
says, pockets are quite different and the plants that can make it are, too.
I use the map in part to illustrate how microclimates differ within zones,
since that's a part of the heat effect.
About Dr. Cathey: a jewel of horticulture expertise with the ability to
communicate sophisticated concepts to just about anybody who'll listen,
regardless of their formal education/background or lack thereof. A role
model for us all.
