Organizing Catalogs
The thread about organizing books prompts me to ask how others handle the
large amounts of garden catalogs and press kits we garden writers receive
nearly every day of the year. I keep them all, because the catalogs,
especially, are valuable references when I write--for plant or seed sources
and for cultural information. The press kits, too, offer good information
if I'm writing on the subject they cover.
Currently, I have them in 3 plastic milk crates, and it's difficult to
locate a particular catalog rapidly. I have to paw through everything
looking. Also, the crates (which are under the U extension of my desk) are
heavy and hard to move. I have been thinking of putting wheels on the
crates for mobility, if nothing else. How you do handle this mass of
materials?
