On the subject of images, slides, scanning etc. I've run into a probelm that
I wonder if any of you who regularly scan slides have encountered.

I'm new at scanning--none of my newspapers could access them until late last
year and I got my scanner a little over six months ago. Surprisingly enough
it went relatively easily until I tried to scan in some travel images
recently, and they came out very dark, although the slides themselves looked
ok and projected well. I contacted HP--my scanner is an HP 4470c, they sent
me an update software and had a few other suggestions, none of which helped.
It appears that only a few slides from a couple of rolls have the problem.
I've been using several films--Kodachrome 64, Fuji Velvia and others, and
have isolated the problem to Fuji Velvia.

Has anyone else run into a problem with certain slide films reacting
differently when scanned?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
