Re: Kodak projectors
After reading all the comments and researching the economics of this, I've
come to the following conclusions on slide projectors.
1. Kodak is in trouble financially. Their stock has gone from over $100 to
about $24 lately. They have had massive layoffs, as anyone in Buffalo, NY
can tell you. Fuji now dominates the film business that was once Kodak's
cash cow. The company hired slash and burn experts to put them back into
the
profit column. Slide projectors are not high volume items, so it's logical
that they quit producing them.
2. Vivitar, Leica, Navitar, Telex and six other manufacturers still make
slide projectors.
In fact, a Vivitar model is rated the best value and most user-friendly by
numerous polls.
