There are some of us that agents won't touch. Like me. First, I prefer to 
write for newspapers (magazine editors have too much time on their hands). 
The checks are small, but you get them every week. And second, my book, 
should I ever happen to finish it, will not be a picture book, just black 
type on white pages, what we used to call garden writing. No agent or major 
publisher wants that.
