Re: [GWL]: Is everyone okay on this list?

Dear Penny,
     inter-country/cross cultural discussion
Yes, exactly. This is part of what I love best about the Internet. I have excellent email friends in many far flung countries, most of them experts in some area of medicine, horticulture, or botany. Very handy and helpful and heartwarming to communicate with them.
For example, I had emailed Judy Sigel, health editor of the Jerusalem Post, on Sept 10th. They'd had so many suicide bomber attacks recently that I asked her, if many people in Israel were considering moving away, perhaps to the US or Europe.
She wrote me back on Sept.11th, and asked me. "Are you or any of your fellow Americans considering moving now?"
Sadly, I now understand all too clearly. No point in moving since terrorists can follow you anyhow. Do they ever do anything in Australia? I hope not.
I'm so sorry about your sister. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I'd hate so much to lose any of them.
Stay well. Tom
