Re: [GWL]: Battery-operated lawnmowers?


I recognize that some time has lapsed since you asked this question, but thought I'd answer in case you're still searching.

There are several battery operated (cordless) mowers on the market, ranging from the newest editions of Black and Decker (Craftsman's) and Toro versions to some little pip squeak type mowers that you find in garden catalogs and that really do a better job of looking cute than cutting (I think one is named the Grasshopper). 

However, I wonder if your reader might have been seeing some of the press on the robotic lawn mowers like the Robomow produced by Friendly Robotics in Texas and Husqvarna of Sweden. Husqvarna was supposed to introduced their robotic mower this year; don't know if they did.
