[GWL]: GWAA Regional Meeting in Vancouver

Just home today and I know others are making their way back tomorrow after
visiting some other great gardens on the North Shore today!  I was in
Vancouver in August and saw quite a lot of gardens so decided to come home
today...:)

Larry Hodgson, Brian Minter and David Tarrant did an outstanding job of
putting this together, along with the BCNLA - we were treated to the CanWest
Show - one that was full of interesting booths and displays of new products
on Wednesday.  Thursday was out by 8:30 to visit Stanley Park, 3 private
gardens, Thomas Hobbs Nursery, UBC and then VanDusen...can you believe
it...all in one day!!  We were bagged, but so happy not to have any rain -
it was great picture taking weather.  The dinner at VanDusen was wonderful.

Like Arzeena said in an earlier email, it was so good to meet people that
you chat with via email for so long...I truly believe that these types of
meetings should be supported and attended...it gives us all a chance to
share.  Although I will not be going to Orlando (not because I will not fly
either :) I will be attending the Seattle symposium.

As to flying and to Chelsea - I shall continue to do both, I highly
recommend Chelsea, but please don't forget the Hampton Court Palace Flower
Show either!!
