In my opinion (and in the mole's opinion also) Peter seems to be the voice
of reason here. Sorry, Lon, I promise never to talk about moles again! Or
anything else off-topic, as a matter of fact.
But why IS it, again, that we move so quickly to destroy creatures we can't
fathom A.S.A.P.? It's not as if our survival is being threatened - that we
are feeding ourselves with food crops from our garden and if our food is
eaten we will die. How about teaching children to research the problem, to
find out what moles have been put on God's green earth to do??
I recall reading that if you have moles, there is absolutely a reason for
it. We used to have them in my parent's place - I think in those days,
people put some type of mini-dynamite sticks down the holes and blew them
all to smithereens.
A popular way of dealing with things we don't understand that carries on
even now.....:-)
