Since you initiated this way off-topic topic, Ron, I assume you will
allow others to comment.

I think it is important to know that this so-called "grassroots" movement
was highly organized, primarily through the Internet, and that moveon is
a far left organization. You can approve or disapprove, but you should
know where it's coming from.

I have been an avid consumer of news, particularly political news, for
nearly fifty years now. For most of that time my electronic media access
was limited to three television networks. Now there are somewhere between
five and eight, maybe more, depending on how and what you count. I had a
local newspaper, and maybe the New York Times if I was willing to wait a
couple of days. Now I can wake up in the morning and read Le Monde or the
London Times or Pravda and check out the BBC or the RNC or DNC or even
moveon.com. Newsbriefs from several sources are automatically delivered
to my email box every day. You may argue that not everyone has Internet
access, but just about everyone who is interested enough to want such
information does have it.

The fact is that we have much more access to divergent opinion than we
ever had. I don't see what the problem is.
