media liability insurance?

I am writing a book on green roof projects and am interested in possibly
acquiring media liability coverage. I'm a member of the Garden Writers
Association and according to the website I can get such insurance as a
member, but I have been routed and rerouted from the listed phone numbers
and given the runaround and am unsure whether this benefit is actually
available.
My questions for this list are:

Do many/most people have such insurance? I am relatively new to the writing
game.

If so, how much coverage do you buy, and about how expensive is it?

I'm not sure how great the risk of being sued actually is; both my husband
and I are lawyers and tend to be paranoid about this sort of thing, perhaps
overly so.
