Re: List still active?
Sandy and others,
The GWL listserve is a listing of emails that go back and forth to everyone.
A forum style board, which is what Amy et al. have put up is slightly
different. You do not get emails delivered to your inbox but go to the site to
visit and see what others have voiced.
Apart from the intro bit, there are sections on blogging, people meeting up
with others/attending the same function. You read just what you want and
ignore the rest.
Whilst others seem to have had problems getting in the site, I did not. I
signed up Wed morning as I was going thru the post conference backlog, and the
approval hit the inbox before I had got to the top - a total of about 15
minutes!
Some people will like the alternative, others no doubt will find it less
useful to them, but alternatives are at least out there.

I guess I don't understand why there is a need for another discussion board.
Isn't this list a discussion board/list...whatever you want to call it? What
is different about your discussion board...except you don't have to belong
to GWA? And...I guess, why wouldn't a garden writer want to belong to GWA?
