On this Labor Day, as the growing season draws nearer to a close,
it seems appropriate to recognize stalwarts in the garden. This was a
challenging year in CT, with high temps and insufficient rain. Among the plants
that did well for me were many heucheras (which I increasingly recommend to
readers and clients). My favorites this year for color, sturdiness and ease of
care were 'Key Lime Pie', 'Peach Melba', 'Midnight Rose', 'Tiramisu'
and 'Caramel'.
Which heucheras did well for you?
