Re: Iron-X and Fiesta herbicde trail
I've just finished an interesting (not totally scientific) trial of Iron-X
herbicide (ferric HEDTA) and the results were pretty impressive. It's
also marketed as Fiesta. While it does not contain the usual chemicals found
in traditional broadleaf herbicides it is not without controversy. It did,
however, do an excellent job controlling some tough weeds in the lawn
without damaging the grasses. If you look beyond the environmental issues
though and just consider the economics the ferric HEDTA products make no sense
at all unless you have postage stamp sized lawn.
If anyone is interested please email me off list and I'll put together
some comments and links. If there's enough interest and no objections I'll
say more here.
