I don't doubt that for a minute, Pat, and I hope my comment wasn't taken to
suggest that. Not being a member, I haven't entered my book -- which (ahem!)
is titled Best of Green Space: 30 years of Composted Columns, contact me or
Betty Mackey for a review copy -- where was I ...?
Oh yes, I haven't entered my book, but I would like to think that it
couldn't be very well evaluated in ten or fifteen minutes that judges might
be able to allow it if they are looking at fifty to a hundred books in two
days. It seems that books with lots of pretty pictures and elaborate layout
would have an edge.
Hint to authors entering books that deal in words: Crimp the corners of the
good parts, just like Peyton Place.
