I think that is an understatement. The average consumer of garden writing

might know a couple of columnists at most and perhaps three books, if that,

in a year. There would be absolutely no depth to their familiarity with the

field. So whether it is viral emails or begging columnists or large

families, the choice would not be about the quality of the writing. So what

would be the value?
