Re: Is there a better way to transfer photos to Mac?

I can't add to anything other than previous suggestions other than to
suggest you empty whatever trash bins reside *inside* the software you're
using.

Macs have a bit of a peculiarity in that the trash bin in the bottom right
hand corner only empties what you put there from some programmes. The
trash bins for iPhoto and Aperture reside inside those software programmes
and need emptying individually.

You'll find your system will run much better if you're doing that
regularly. I'm not saying that's the issue. One other issue I'm looking
at right now with my almost 7-year old MacBook Pro (I love it) is the
inability to upgrade any more operating systems. And when the software
updates (like iPhoto just did) it's putting huge strains on my older system
sucking up RAM and slowing it down. I have workarounds such as only having
the photo software running when I'm using it and shutting it down and
keeping Mail closed when I'm not using it to reduce demand but the day is
coming to update the hardware.

This old mac of mine keeps on ticking and ticking - never a minutes problem
with it but the technology has passed it by. The good news is that Windows
systems of the same vintage are having way more problems than we are in
these areas. LOL. (he says sparking off a Win-OS war) :-)
