RE: ***Stocking up on supplies! ...just in case there is a Y2K-flip/flop?***
Ron Livingston & etc., From my Canadian perspective, I would like to say, that Canukies are not taking any precautions at all in stocking up on survival necessities! From this, I would also like to suggest, that perhaps it was a *BIG HOAX* perpetrated to sell new computers to our World Governments and high tech Coporate Barons. Perhaps not a hoax? ...but then, we shall all see *SOON ENOUGH*!!!
Personally, I work for a Government-controlled Crown-Corporation; I see all the new computers at our work place, with the Y2K (checkmark on them) Multiply these new computer sales by every huge Corporation world-wide; and to me, this simply suggests a scam to sell new computers!
just a personal opinion tho'

My curiosity is getting the best of me. Could I please get some feedback from you about Y2K ? I am wondering how many of you are taking precautions and what the precautions are. I just returned from the supermarket where I was surprised to see the amount of bottled water some people are buying. The check-out clerk said they anticipate a rush for food and water between Christmas and New Year.
