Vinegar: fill a hose-end sprayer with full strength vinegar and spray
around and under the plants. Not necessarily on the plant. Vinegar is a
contact killer and will kill any slugs it touches. Do this until the slugs
are gone.
Do not spray full strength vinegar on the hosta.
Raise toads, ducks, chickens, geese (clean yr patio every day).
