Re: Fridays: Name this plant

In a message dated 98-06-12 18:03:41 EDT, you write:

<< It does not look like Sieboldiana Elegans, and the flowers buds are now
showing to be lilac/purple. It did have a bluish cast a month ago,
however it is now more green. The leaf is not shiny on either side.

Well, I do know it is a Hosta! Does anyone have an idea of what variety
it really is, or rather what variety they are referring to by simply
 labeling it Sieboldiana ?
 >>

I WOULD GUESS THAT IT IS A SEEDLING OF .....SIEBOLDIANA.....NOTHING
MORE....NOTHING LESS.......

THE TERM 'PLANTAIN LILY' ADDS NOTHING TO THE DESCRIPTION.....IT IS AN ARCHIAC
TERM.....WHICH GIVES US NO CLUE TO ITS HERITAGE.....

BEYOND THAT.....IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL BE A NICE BIG GREY-GREEN HOSTA......

BETCHA A BUCK, YOU NEVER FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS.....
