Snowflakes/plantaginea

In the latest journal there is a scheme about H plantaginea and its
sports and hybrids . Included is again Snowflakes. I like to point
out that Snowflakes is not related to H plantaginea but a white
flowering H sieboldii.
Further I am a bit surprized, although it is not impossible, that
several sports of fragant cultivars have non-fragrant sports. Can
anyone confirm that?
