Hi
Jean,
Every year I
manage to have hosta still in pots over the winter and the only ones I've lost
are
the ones that
have too much sand in the mix. We're in zone 6 and I don't do anything
special
to them.
They just sit under the apple tree until I get around to putting them in the
ground.
I bought an
Island Charm a couple of years ago, it's in a large planter (2ft.x2ft) and it
seems to be doing fairly well. It's not setting any speed record for
multiplying, but it is growing. No secerts here, just in plain potting mix
mixed with regular soil. I very seldom fertilize, maybe once every 5
years. Might be why IC isn't setting any
records.
