My son injured his right knee a couple of years ago. He has had
numerous operations, to save his leg, which has been accomplished.
However, an 8" length of nerve was removed, his patella removed and
replaced, adhesions formed, and, of course, total lack of sensation.
He just *could not* give up driving (he has an automatic). So, he began
using his left foot for both the gas and brake pedals. At first, I went
with him as he *cruised* the development. In time, we branched out to
side streets, small roads, and, eventually, *the highway.*
I feel perfectly safe with him.
Believe in Him and in yourself. All things are possible!
Best wishes for a very mobile future!
Love and hugs,
