Rare plants

Good morning all:

Where is everybody? I'm beginning to wonder if there are really very many
indoor gardeners at all. I thought when I joined it would be a very active
and informative group. Perhaps we need a subject: like what is the most
exotic or rare plant you grow?

I pesently have an Erodium roseum and a Thunbergia erecta in bloom. The
erodium is a pretty little cloverlike plant with 1/2" pink flowers striped
with red. There are hardy ones but this one seems to be an indoor plant
although I left a couple in the garden last fall to see if they were hardy.
It sends out runners with new crowns which root very easily. Under my
conditions it doesn't bloom heavily but almost always has two or three
flowers. It is about 6" tall counting the flowers and presently fills a 4"
pot.

The Thunbergia is a relative of the Black eyed Susan vine but does not
resemble it in any way. It is a woody shrub and mine is about 2' tall with
about the same spread. The flowers are purple bells with white tubes about
2" long. The face is about 1" across and the throat is bright yellow. It
is flowering in the leaf axils on old wood even at the base. I was about to
cut it back when the buds started appearing so don't know when it should be
pruned. I got the plant from Harborcrest in British Columbia. The erodium
was a gift from a friend so I don't know where it is available.

Okay. Let's hear what you are all growing. I want to add to my collection
but can't if I don't know what's out there. :-)
