[INDOOR-GARDENING:164] Re: running out of room!

Hi Karen, dear Listmom.

Must admit, I don't write too much - in all of my spare time I am watering
an overcrowded jungle of houseplants! I would never complain about such a
thing - it's marvelous, but definitely a time-consuming thing. Who can go
where? Does she have enough light there? Is he happy RIGHT THERE?
I, personally, have found that those rooms with a south view - I keep least
warm. I suppose I can only speak from example, but I live in a 3 bedroom
house on Martha's Vineyard. I tend to leave bedroom doors shut when I do
not have visitors. But imagine the welcome company I have six months of
the year!
During the winter I tend not to keep plants in these south-facing rooms,
but when I run out of room (again!), I chose the heartiest spiders to place
in them. If I need additional space, I find that plant hangers work
nicely. To be honest, I prefer a nice silltop table to place in front and
it is so easy to build yourself. I have simply take a piece of 3X1' pine
and nailed it to 4 1X2 boards. I tell ya, this is the "priority plant
table" and everyone knows it. Once you've shopped for materials, it's
about 15 minutes of work. I know I am not giving the actual information
requested, but I thought I'd share! :)
