poinsettias etcetera

1) I got a free poinsettia at a pizza place last weekend, and it's still in
really good shape with lots of color, though it is starting to look a
little bare on the bottom of the stems. Has anyone here successfully kept
one over the winter and got it to turn red again? My in-laws have a
shrub-sized one that they've over-wintered for 4 years now, but it's never
turned red since. I could use some advice on general care too.
2) I'd like some suggestions on what low-light orchids I could grow under
flourescent lights with my African violets. I have one jewel orchid
(ludisia discolor) that seems to be doing fine. Am I pretty much limited
to paphiopedalums or are there others I can try?
3) What kind of plant food can you feed ferns? I have an adiantum and a
pteris in my kitchen window. They are both doing okay, but not thriving
the way I'd like them to. Do I feed them something for regular foliage
houseplants, something with high nitrogen?
4) How do you take cuttings and make starts of prayer plant? The one I
have is extremely leggy, with just two stems on it (both almost two feet
long, it looks ridiculous).
5) Is there any point in trying to keep my paperwhites? I bought them this
fall, and they totally exceeded my expectations. I've always hated just
throwing away any kind of plant material, and I don't have a yard to plant
the bulbs into. Can they be successfully rebloomed or is it a waste of time?
I know this is a lot of questions, but it seems like everything happens at
once around here plantwise. Thanks!
