Its also possible that the plant was cold shocked, depending on how long
it was exposed to the cold air in moving from show to home. Your best bet
is to inspect it for bugs then just watch it, keeping it separate from
other plants.
An orchid sage once told me that viruses aren't actually all that common,
although what you're describing does sound like a hypersensitive response
to me. Its just so hard to say for sure what you're looking at, because I
can't see it. If you become convinced its a virus, pitch it, pot and all.
(I know thats a tall order, but thats the only real option with viruses.)
