My ficus is in a dining room which faces a West and SW covered porch. It may
get a little direct sun late in the day but most of the day is not too light.
It dropped some leaves, but as I said, I cut back on water--treated it as semi
dormant-- and it been okay. It spends the summer on that porch--also almost
no direct sun. If you are bringing it in from much brighter to less bright,
do it in stages so the shock is not too great. Every year it loses leaves and
I forget that it's going to be all right.
