I have an agapanthus which I carried over from last year when it bloomed all
summer. Over the winter, it lost lots of bottom leaves and now looks like it
it "growing out of the pot". It is also getting yellowed leaves and losing
leaves again now. It is outdoors in a pot, but it was like that last year
and was fine. This year's spot is windier. Would that make a difference?
I'm not sure what the base is called-- it's like a tuber and seems to be in
three or more sections. So far, it has had one flower.
1. Should it be transplanted deeper? If yes, what kind of soil mix.
2. Should it be divided? how?
3. How do I encourage more blooms-- will it ever get more than one at a
time?
Any help with this beauty would be appreciated. Batya Levin, Bronx, NY
