My name is Lola Lopes. I've been gardening outdoors in Iown City, Iowa,
for about five years. Two years ago I acquired a few orchids and now
have the equipment in my basement for indoor gardening. In addition
to providing lighting for my orchids, I'm going to start seeds indoors
and maybe see if I can grow some of the plants that have eluded me
out of doors (e.g., ranunculus asiaticus) and some exotics that I
know won't do well in our climate (e.g., mecanopsis, gardenia).

Since I'm new at indoor gardening, I'll be mostly listening and asking
questions. I look forward to the conversation.
