They need fairly bright light, but definitely shouldn't be put in full
sunlight. Yes, by 3 weeks there should be plenty of roots. Is this a
striped (variegated) spider plant or an all-green one? I envy you your
greenhouse...what I wouldn't give for one (forgot, I need a house first!).
